Korea Women’s Basketball Finishes 4th in U-18 Asia Cup

South Korea lost to Japan to finish fourth at the 26th International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Women’s Under-18 (U-18) Asia Cup.

South Korea lost to Japan 54-69, 15 points, in the third-place game of the tournament today (Nov. 30) in Shenzhen, China.

By finishing in fourth place, South Korea secured a spot in the 2025 Under-19 World Cup, 파워볼사이트 추천 which is awarded to the top four nations.

South Korea, which had lost to China the day before to drop into the 3-4th place game, fell behind 4-25 in the first quarter after Japan hit four 3-pointers.

They rallied in the second quarter and evened the score in the second half, but Japan’s defense forced them into turnovers and they were unable to close the gap any further.

In the final game that followed, Australia defeated China 96 to 79 to take the top spot.

China was led by 220cm center Zhang Ziyu, who scored 42 points, but couldn’t get much help from the rest of the team.
