Rath’s team, Suwon FC, was informed of the incident at around 1pm today and held an emergency meeting.

“We heard about Rath’s drunk driving a little while ago, and we’re going to report it to the city of Suwon and the Korean Football Association, and we’ll handle it according to the manual,” said Choi Sun-ho, head coach of Suwon FC.

“I think drinking and driving is a crime and unacceptable,” Choi said. In the past, Kunimoto, who played for Jeonbuk, had his contract terminated for drunk driving, so we will handle it the same way,” Choi said, signaling his intention to terminate Lars’ contract.
