Saudi Arabian professional soccer’s Al Nasr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo two goals from the penalty spot, defeated Al-Shabab with Klinsmann’s goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu in goal.
Al-Nasr cruised to a 4-0 home win over Al-Shabaab in the fourth round of the 2023-2024 Saudi Professional League at Al-Awal Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday (Sept. 30), led by a one-man show from Ronaldo, who scored two goals and provided an assist.
After dropping their opening two matches, Al Nasr bounced back with a 5-0 win in the third round, led by a hat-trick from Ronaldo and a multi-goal performance from Sadio Mane, and then cruised to a 4-0 victory in the fourth round thanks to a PK from Ronaldo and a goal from Mane.

Ronaldo’s pass from the penalty spot was flicked on by Mane, who hit a right-footed strike from the right side of the goal area into the net.
With the score 3-0 at the break, Alnasr won a penalty kick in the 18th minute of the second half, and Abdulrahman Gharib stepped up to take the shot, which hit the left post. Garib’s left-footed shot from the rebound was denied by a super save from Kim Seung-gyu.
Kim Seung-gyu was again called into action in the 20th minute when Ronaldo’s left flank cross hit the foot of defender Iago Santos and rebounded hard into the goal.
Al-Shabaab were caught outnumbered in the 33rd minute when midfielder Eber Banega was shown a red card and sent off for a violent back tackle on Mane.
Al Nasr extended the lead to 4-0 in the 35th minute when Sultan Al Ghannam scored with a left-footed shot from the left side of the goal area after Ronaldo’s header hit the right post.
