Shin Ji-Ae finishes 3rd in AIG Women’s Open, Kim and Yang tied for 4th
Veteran Shin Ji-ae, 35, is tied for third place, the highest finish by a South Korean player,
in the final major of the season on the U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.
Shin shot a 2-under 70 with three birdies and a bogey in the final four rounds of the AIG Women’s Open today at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England,

Shin, who has 64 career victories in professional events around the world, including 11 on the LPGA Tour,
followed up her runner-up finish at the U.S. Women’s Open last month with a “top three” finish at the AIG Women’s Open,
her first in seven years.
Kim Hyo-joo, who was one shot behind the leader in a tie for third place after three rounds,
finished the tournament in a tie for fourth place at 2-over par in the final round.
Yang Hee-young, who shaved two strokes off her score on the day, finished tied for fourth with Kim,
giving South Korea three players in the “top five.
The winner was Lilia Boo (USA), who dropped five strokes in the final round alone to finish at 14-under par 274.
