Florida’s biggest casinos are getting bigger and bigger.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has launched a nearly $700 million expansion to strengthen its position as one of the largest casinos in the U.S., with 5,000 slot machines and nearly 200 gaming tables. Scheduled for completion in mid-2019, the expanded casino will offer one of the largest diverse slot machines in the U.S., with approximately 200,000 square feet of entertainment and gaming for guests.
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s expansion is part of a record $2.4 billion in economic investment by the Seminole Tribe of Florida in two major destination casino complexes, Tampa and Hollywood. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is undergoing simultaneous expansion and renovation.
In Tampa, tribal economic investment means nearly 1,000 additional part-time and full-time jobs will be created on top of over 2,000 on-site construction jobs during the two-year construction project. Analysts point to another 1,022 indirect permanent jobs and 2,268 indirect construction jobs resulting from the casino expansion, totaling more than 6,000 huge additional jobs.
“The major expansion of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is further proof of the Seminole Tribe’s commitment to Floridians that it will continue to increase the economic impact of the Seminole Gaming facility,” said Jim Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is one of Tampa Bay’s largest employers with more than 3,500 team members, and the property will continue to grow into a destination resort with continued expansion.

At the center of the expansion is the new 15-story hotel tower with 564 additional hotel rooms and suites. The expanded Seminole Hard Rock Hotel will offer a total of about 800 rooms, including 79 new hotel suites for a total of 88 suites. For the ultimate VIP experience, the top floor of the new hotel tower will have a dedicated game room for VIP customers and a dedicated elevator to the Rockstar suite.
Guests at the hotel will have access to three ultra-light new outdoor pools adjacent to the second floor of the new hotel tower, which has a trendy 120-seat full-grill restaurant and a bar. Expanding to the size of a soccer field, the pool and deck area will become a regular spot for special events for casino guests, including day and night life activities. The outdoor pool area was designed by EDSA, a renowned landscaping company.
A new 25,000-square-foot rock spa & salon will open on the second floor of the hotel tower and offer full-side service for the best resort experience. The new spa will replace the existing spa and salon.
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will continue to expand and refresh culinary amenities by adding a new 200-seat Italian restaurant, which will open next fall, making it the third luxury restaurant the property will offer. The property is known for its award-winning restaurants Council Oak Stakes & Seafood and The Rez Grill.
Additional renovations and updates are planned for the existing Hard Rock Cafe, Fresh Harvest Buffet, Plum VIP Lounge and Food Court. Rise Kitchen & Bakery will be redesigned and relocated as part of a casino expansion project.
The property will also continue to elevate music and entertainment programs with the 30,000-square-foot Seminole Hard Rock Event Center under construction on the second floor of the casino complex. It includes a 17,000-square-foot grand ballroom for concerts, conventions, trade shows, private events, and large poker tournaments.
Six additional retailers will join the two existing retailers to more than triple the casino complex’s current shopping options.
The addition of 700 parking spaces will increase the total available parking spaces to about 6,000. 안전한 파워볼사이트
