Reverse Casino & Resorts is facing major layoffs in the coming weeks unless the current lockdown is lifted. About 1,000 individuals were laid off in March and will have to be laid off if nothing changes as casino operators face significant game revenue losses. Since mid-March, infarson casino games have been banned across New York State because physical distancing is recommended and people have to avoid large gatherings. In mid-June, many Native American casino branches were officially reopened across the state. Native American tribes have the freedom to work with states and resume games themselves faster than commercial locations, thanks to their own contracts that regulate gambling operations. They are directed by Seneca Nation of Indians and Oneida Indian Nation.

The Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, the Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango and the Point Place Casino in Bridgeport are three casino venues overseen by the latter and have been in operation for quite some time. Players who go there should always wear masks to protect themselves and casino employees. They also work with a 50% capacity.

Seneca Nation of Indians manages Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo, and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino. These locations have already welcomed their first casino customers in months and are in full swing. Meanwhile, the commercial casino branch is still closed because Gov. Andrew Cuomo has not allowed it to reopen.
