How the NC Dinos broke their 3-game losing streak

The NC Dinos escaped a three-game losing streak.

In the first game of the midweek series against the Lotte Giants at Sajik Stadium in Busan on April 1, NC won 6-3 thanks to Yoon Hyung-jun’s game-winning hit in the top of the 11th inning.

It was a hard-fought victory. NC gave up three runs in the bottom of the third inning, but answered with two runs in the top of the fourth. Then, in the top of the fifth, Park Gun-woo tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI single.

The bullpens of both teams were then mobilized, including Kim Young-gyu, Ryu Jin-wook, Lim Jung-ho, and Lee Yong-chan for NC and Koo Seung-min, Kim Sang-soo, Choi Jun-yong, Kim Won-jung, Jin Seung-hyun, and Shim Jae-min for Lotte. In the top of the 11th inning, however, NC came back against Lotte’s Jin Seung-hyun to score three runs on a leadoff double by Park Gun-woo, back-to-back walks by Kwon Hee-dong and Seo Ho-chul, a single by Yoon Hyung-joon, a sacrifice fly by Park Se-hyuk, and an RBI single by Kim Joo-won. Lee Yong-chan closed out the 11th inning.

“We were able to win because the entire team stayed focused and did their best until the end,” said NC head coach Kang Myung-hwa after the game.

“Especially in today’s game, Park Gun-woo’s four hits and Yoon Hyung-joon’s game-winning hit were crucial to the victory,” he said, “and we were able to win thanks to our fans who traveled to Busan in the sweltering weather to support us.” 파워볼
