‘Salah multi-goal’ Liverpool win 2-0 in Merseyside derby

Salah’s thrilling goal puts Liverpool in first place.

Liverpool FC earned a 2-0 victory over Aberdeen FC in the ninth round of the 2023-24 English Premier League (EPL) at Anfield in Liverpool, Merseyside, England.

Liverpool moved into first place with 20 points from six wins, two draws, and one loss.

Liverpool lined up in a 4-3-3 formation. Alisson Becker started in goal, with Virgil van Dijk-Ibrahima Konate-Kostas Chimikas-Trent Alexander-Arnold forming the back four. Dominik Soboslaj-Alexis McAllister-Ryan Hrabenbergh will hold down the midfield, while Luis Dias-Mohamed Salah-Diogo Jota will attack.

Everton start in a 4-4-1-1 formation. Jordan Pickford gets the goalkeeping gloves, with James Tarkowski, Ashley Young, Vitaliy Mikolenko, and Jared Branson in the back four.
