British media outlet, reported on the 6th (Korea time), “Coach Ange Postecoglou suggested that it is too early for Sar to return against West Ham. Sar, an important player for Tottenham this season, has not played since he returned after being injured during the A-match in November.”
Sarr confirmed his move to Tottenham in August 2021. He was loaned to France’s Messe as soon as he moved, and started his career at Tottenham in earnest from last season. He recorded one assist in 14 official matches in the 2022/23 season.
This season, Saar has become a key midfielder under Postecoglou. Saar has one goal and two assists in 13 games during the 2023/24 season. Saar has been active in attack and defense, and has been supporting in the midfield.
Sarr has not started in the two matches he played since the end of the A-match period in November. The reason was because of an injury. Due to Sarr’s injury, Rodrigo Bentancur and Giovanni Lo Celso were given a chance in the third term. As Bentancur suffered an ankle injury against Aston Villa, Lo Celso’s playing time increased.
Ahead of the match against West Ham, Postecoglou made public about Sar’s physical condition. “Sar is back in training. It’s early tomorrow, but I’m sure he will be able to play in the game against Newcastle United on the 11th,” Postecoglou said.
