National team fullback Seol Young-woo (Trvena Zvezda) scored his debut goal two games after his European debut.

Seol Young-woo shook the net in the 9th minute of the first half in the fourth round of the 2024-2025 Serbian Super Liga against Novipazar at Leiko Mitic Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia on the 11th.

Seol Young-woo, who joined Zvezda, who left Ulsan in June, and made his European debut through the third round of the league against Textilac on the 4th, got off to a good start by quickly scoring his debut goal in his second game in a week.

Taking the lead with Seol’s first goal, Zvezda scored three goals in the second half to win 4-1. Zvezda maintained the lead by securing two consecutive wins and no loss (three wins and one draw) for four consecutive matches.

Playing left-back, Seol had a golden chance at the 9th minute of the first half. Hwang In-beom, who played as a central midfielder, stabbed a cross towards the goal from the right side of the penalty spot. Nemanja Stoichi grabbed the ball that hit the defender and gave it to Seol, who was next to him, and Seol put the ball into the left corner of the goal with a accurate mid-range shot with his right foot, although it was a long distance of more than 20 meters. He scored with his first shot in Europe.

Seol Young-woo smiled brightly and ran toward the bench and hugged coach Vladan Milojevic.

While playing full time for 90 minutes, Seol displayed stable performance through offense and defense including 85 times of ball touch, 85 percent of pass success rate, five times of clearing, two successful ground races, two key passes, and one tackle. “Sophas Score,” a statistics company, gave Seol a high rating of 7.8, the third highest in his team.

After the game, Seol Young-woo shared a video of his debut goal on his personal SNS and even played sales with a “@CoupangPlay” and a prayer emoji. He expressed his hope that Coupang Play would broadcast it so that domestic soccer fans could watch the Zvezda game. Coupang Play broadcasts some European small and medium-sized leagues, but not Serbian leagues.

Along with Seol Young-woo, Hwang also contributed to a landslide victory by playing 90 minutes each. Hwang had an 88 percent pass success rate, two key passes, four ground matches, three tackles, and one shot on target. When his team was leading 3-1 in the second half at the 41st minute, he made a pass to assist Jose Luis Rodríguez to score a decisive goal. He scored 7.3 points on the “Sophas Score.” Hwang, who has become Serbia’s player of the year in the 2023-2024 season, is still displaying his skills and capabilities by racing to the top of the league (8.55 points, based on the sofa score) on Sunday.안전놀이터

Hwang In-beom is looking at an opportunity to advance to the big league this summer, but according to local media, he signed a gentleman’s agreement to play for Zvezda until August, when the European club competition qualifying round will be held.
