The Korean national soccer team’s new uniform, which combines the beauty of traditional art and cutting-edge technology, has been unveiled.
Nike unveiled the Korean national soccer team’s uniform today (19th) and announced, “It captures the dignity of Korean traditional art and Nike’s progressive skills.”
Nike expected that designs inspired by traditional Korean art and craftsmanship would inspire a new generation to shine inspiration for soccer.
The home uniform was reflected in a red pattern, the symbol of Korean soccer.
On the collar and sleeve, a double border is placed to recall the dancheong pattern.
The tiger claw marks on the collar express the dignity and fierceness of the Korean national team.
The away uniform symbolizes a combination of tradition and progress.
The lacquerware was reinterpreted to contrast the dark black and shiny pearl-colored digital patterns, which signifies Korean beauty and craftsmanship that values harmony.
The away uniform also has a tiger’s claw pattern engraved on the collar just like the home uniform.
Nike has applied the “Metaprism” method to reinterpret each country’s unique colors in its 2024 uniform.
Through this, we tried to reflect the colorful colors from light and movement and express colors in a unique direction while maintaining the aesthetic identity of each country.
This uniform is designed with Nike’s progressive technology “Dry Fit ADV” so that players perform at their best.
We optimized movement and breathability with data measured by body mapping technology and long-term research results.
Each element of the uniform is designed with a 4D data design to keep players comfortable on the ground for 90 minutes.
