Jordan Spieth of the U.S. was disqualified for writing the wrong score at the Genesis Invitational of the PGA Tour.
Spieth shot a two-over 73 in the second round of the tournament at Ribeira Country Club (par 71) in Palisades, California on the 17th (Korea time), and shot a two-under 139 in the middle.
However, he was disqualified because he mistakenly wrote that he made par even though he bogeyed at the 4th hole (par 3).
This is the first time Spieth, who was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2015 with his “computer putt,” has been disqualified for a scorecard error while playing in 263 PGA Tour tournaments.
Spieth wrote on his SNS, “I thought I wrote it correctly, but I signed the wrong scorecard,” adding, “It’s all my responsibility.”
