The $5 chips will be in play at all Boyd Gaming’s Nevada-based properties in honor of NASCAR week and the Sam’s Town 300.
Each Boyd Gaming casino will feature a different Richard Petty gaming chip that will be available immediately to the public for a limited time only. Hard-core NASCAR and Petty collectors will have to visit each individual casino in order to collect the entire set.
“For many years, Richard Petty has been referred to as the King of stockcar racing and our customers are very serious NASCAR fans,” said Dan Stark, Director of Marketing for Boyd Gaming Corporation. “With all the excitement surrounding NASCAR week in Las Vegas, it seemed only appropriate to once again produce gaming chips honoring a real icon of racing.”
The Boyd Gaming casinos featuring the special gaming chips are the Las Vegas-based properties Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, Stardust Resort and Casino, Main Street Station Casino, Brewery and Hotel, California Hotel and Casino, and Freemont Hotel and Casino, and the Henderson-based properties Joker’s Wild Casino and Eldorado Casino.
Other events surrounding around the Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR week include the Sam’s Town 300 (March 3), the Coca-Cola Wall of Speed (February 23-March 3), Speedway Children’s Charities NASCAR Driver Auction (March 1), Travis Tritt in concert at Sam’s Town Live!
