Samcheok City Hall stops Busan Facilities Corporation from winning 5 consecutive games

Samcheok City Hall, the defending champion, has raised the possibility of advancing to the semi-playoff of the handball H League.

Samcheok City Hall, led by head coach Lee Kye-cheong, beat the Busan Facilities Corporation 24-21 in the second round of the Shinhan SOL Pay 2023-2024 Handball H League Women’s Division at SK Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul today (17th).

Samcheok City Hall, which had seven wins, one draw, and four losses, scored 15 points to rank fourth, trailing Seoul City Hall, which is in third place with the same points.

The women’s game of the handball H League will be played in the postseason by ranking 4th out of 8 teams, and the game was a showdown between the 4th-ranked Samcheok City Hall and the 5th-ranked Busan Facilities Corporation.

Samcheok City Hall, which is aiming to win for three consecutive seasons, led the team to victory with Kim Sun-hwa scoring seven goals and Choi Soo-ji scoring five goals and three assists.

Joana and Song Ha-ri scored five goals each for the Busan Facilities Corporation, which challenged for five consecutive wins, but the upward trend was put on hold.

The Busan Facilities Corporation, which had five wins and seven losses, widened its gap with the third- and fourth-place groups by five points.
